恐龍仔的誕生
This story happened on the 7th July around 2300hrs.
Chatting with bro and 哈bb, watching 康熙來了, drinking our favourite ribena, kiao'ing kar on the sofabed in entertainment room. Bro asked us to join him and his friends for a night swim and I agreed. Bro went off earlier to fetch his frens and I holding the glasses, walking towards the kitchen and den... WATERBAG BURST!!
Shouted for 哈bb and he quickly got me a towel. Got changed and called bro to inform him I am not going for swimming as I have to rush to the hospital immediately. 哈bb packed my stuffs and down we went. Bro decided to drive us to hospital as his driving is ridiculously FAST.
Reached hospital at about 2330hrs and I was send to observation ward immediately. Staff nurses checked on me and confirmed that the waterbag was burst. They called up my gynae and was instructed to put me on drip to stop contraction. Also steriod jabs to strenghten the lungs of the baby in case he had to come early. Couldn't rest well as the drip causing my heartbeat to raise.
Morning, 8th July, Gynae came to check on me and soothen the drip for me. Had an ultrasound scan and baby was weighting 1.81kg. Gynae suggest to hang on for baby to gain his weight. Earliest baby could come out was about 48 hrs after my 2nd jab of steriod jab which was at 1200hrs. 哈bb couldn't rest well either as observation ward doesn't have any bed for him to rest.
Night, contraction is getting worst despite the use of the drip. 5 min interval and last about a min and half. Staff nurse increase the drip and finally I get to have a bit of rest in the morning. 哈bb went to work in the morning and I was all alone when I woke up. Sat up a little for breakfast. Contraction start again and felt some pushing below... Called for nurse and they immediately inform my gynae. 哈bb came back in the noon and gynae came to check as well. After checking, gynae said,"Baby has to come out. I can feel his knees." WOW!!!
The next moment, I saw all the nurses rushing to do all kind of stuffs. Paperwork, preparation work, pushing me to labour ward. After all the preparation work, i had another ultrasound scan. Gynae told me that I couldn't go natural as baby is a standing breech which means he is standing inside my tumtum. Pushed into the OT and prepared to get "cut". 哈bb was not allow to enter the OT coz my case is real complicated. Gynae was afraid to scare the hell outta him.
I was on epidural but I felt the knife, the pulling and.. THE PAIN! Was given stronger epi when I complain about the pain but to no avail. End up I requested for GA.
1515hrs, opened my eyes and was wheeled back to my ward about 15mins later. Bro and 哈bb was waiting for me. They showed me the first pic of my little precious, Bosco Tham. He was out at 1411hrs and was resting in NICU as he was a premature baby. His PD came to tell us that he is all well developed, just need some assist in drinking of milk. Everything was well.
